This is the home page of the longest established and largest Citroën club in South Australia – dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and above all else, the appreciation and enjoyment of all Citroën vehicles – any model, any age, old or new.
The Club has approximately 80 members. Members and visitors attend monthly meetings, held at 7.00 pm on the third Monday of each month (except January) at the "Lounge", City of Burnside Civic Centre. Meetings include regular guest speakers and illustrated presentations, technical and social presentations, and a good deal of 'bonhomie'. In addition to holding monthly meetings, Club members participate in regular Club runs, technical afternoons and social events.
A beneficial service to owners of vehicles more than 25 years old is the Club's assistance with the SA Conditional Registration Scheme for Historic, Prescribed Left Hand Drive and Street Rod Vehicles.
The Club is pleased to assist with any enquiry – in the first instance via the Club Secretary: secretary@clubcitroensa.org.au.
Visitors and new members are always welcome…simply come along to one of our meetings or runs and introduce yourself!

Cit-In is an annual meeting of the various Citroen Car Clubs across Australia. Its held every year, around April - May. This year's Cit-In was scheduled to be in Western Australia in mid - May, but has been cancelled due to fuel supply uncertainities arising from the current unsettling global events. This has met with considerable disappointment within our Club, as many members were planning to attend what is always a great event. However, discretion the better part of valour ....
Hopefully Cit-In 2027 will proceed and provide some compensation. It is scheduled to be at Mittagong in the NSW Southern Highlands from 30th April to 3rd May; email citin2027@citroencarclub.org.au for further details
CCSA held another of its technical days in early March, focussing on replacing the DS steering rack. Increasingly, the now 50 + year old DS steering racks are developing both internal and external hydraulic leaks. They need to be removed, refurbished and replaced. Not for the faint-hearted, but with a knowledgeable technical team and plenty of goodwill, anything is possible !
A special cheers last Sunday to former President, Greg Moorhouse, on the annual Greg Moorhouse Memorial Run to the Macclesfield Hotel. The Club has also instigated the Greg Moorhouse Trophy, awarded annually to a Club member that best exemplifies Greg's enthusiasm and spirit in contibuting to the life of the Club.
Cheers Greg - we all miss you ![]()

The 2025 Club Events calendar concludes with our Annual Bastille Day Run. The run went from Burnside Civic Centre Car Park and headed up the hill to Hahndorf and a rendezvous at Berenberg for morning tea. Then on to the premier facility of the Oak and Iron within the historic Auchendarroch Property in Mt Barker for a lovely lunch. As always, the best part of these events is catching up with everyone and having good old chat about the world - our Club, our local environment in Adelaide and SA generally, as well as commentary of world events, informed or otherwise. A great day out - vive le Club !
October sees the All French Car Day, where the French Car Clubs of SA gather together. This year, the Day was celebrated by a spirited run through the hills to our lunch venue at the Langhorne Creek Bridge Tavern. A wide selection of cars and personalities rounded out a fantastic day.
Club members have recently returned from The Desert RAID 2024, an outback odyssey for 2CVs. Travelling as Team Baudin, 7 cars including two French couples completed the trip from Adelaide to Brookton (WA) before heading off along the Great Central Road to Uluru, then via Coober Pedy, the Oodnadatta and Birdsville to Central Queensland, finishing at Gayndah near Bundaberg. Then we drove home via the Darling River through the Riverland to Adelaide. 11,000 km, including some pretty rough roads, 6 weeks, no problems ! Quelle adventure !! CIT-IN 2024 is being held in Deveonport, Tasmania in 2024. Details can be found here
